Phased Array Antenna Specialist – Dayton, OH

We are hiring an Antenna engineer who has expertise in Phased Arrays, primarily with Test and Measurements in our state-of-the-art Nearfield & Farfield Anechoic chambers side, though would also require some antenna design skills as well. Your primary duties for this position will be to support our customers test facilities on a regularly scheduled or as-needed basis. We deliver engineering solutions and advanced products for a wide range of technical applications for which this Phased Array expert will be needed. We also offer in-house test and measurement facilities covering VHF through MMW frequencies. This position requires Research and Test of phased array and other types of antennas. This Phased Array Specialist will excel in a high-tech environment developing innovative solutions to solve our customers’ needs.

Experience & Education:

• 8-10 years of Antenna Test and Analysis with a (Master’s; or PhD preferred in Physics or Electrical Engineering)
• 10-12 years of Antenna Test and Analysis with a (Bachelor’s degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering)

Requirements will include, but are not limited to:

• 8-12 years’ minimum of directly applicable Antenna test & measurement industry experience
• Have a firm understanding of phased array design concepts, measurements, and data processing.
• Support on-site customer test facilities on regularly scheduled or as-required basis.
• Strong analytical skills to understand complex technical systems, problem solving, and the process of research.
• Experience with customer interaction. Able to communicate plans and test results both verbally and in written form.
• Experience with technology management and development. The successful candidate will work with the customer to develop technology roadmaps and solidify plans and funding.
• Lead and manage groups of engineers working in customers’ facilities.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines to develop solutions for the customer consistent with our business goals.

Desirable attributes will include:

• Experience in modern test environments including compact, far-field, and near-field ranges.
• Familiarity with: Phased array antenna design and measurements.
• Phased array calibration, steering, and inter-element coupling issues.
• Advanced signal processing schemes such as MUSIC, maximum entropy and other Fourier-based and super resolution techniques.
• Angle-of-arrival, time-of-arrival and 2D/3D imaging algorithms.
• Radar and electronic warfare system design and measurements.
• HFSS, MATLAB, CST, Python or other electromagnetics analysis tools.
• Program and/or personnel management (soft skills) experience is a PLUS!
