We are hiring for an RF Antenna design engineer for our offices at Write Patterson AFB in Ohio. As an Antenna R&D engineer, your work will be performed in modern and high-tech facilities both on-base, as well as in our 8600 sq. ft office. Being a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work in collaboration with the USAF researchers to research, design, model, and implement advanced Antenna and RF frontend related technologies. Testing and simulation will be done in a laboratory environment that includes testing of prototype hardware in a state-of-the-art anechoic chamber.

– This position requires U.S. Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Security Clearance

– A minimum of 5 years of work experience with Antenna, RF systems development (analog domain) and rapid systems prototyping techniques is required, however 10+ years of Antenna design history is preferred

– Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical engineering or related discipline

  • We would like you to have Antenna research and development as a primary skillset
  • Familiarity with antenna design methodologies in bands from VHF to mm-wave
  • Familiarity with antenna design techniques for electrically small and/or very broadband antennas
  • Experience with antenna measurement and calibration techniques
  • Use of anechoic chambers, and measurement of key performance metrics
  • Familiarity with rapid fabrication techniques such as photolithography, additive and subtractive manufacturing
  • Familiarity with software and 3D tools such as: Ansys HFSS, FEKO, CST, Comsol, Matlab, Python, Keysight Genesys/ADS, Altium PCB designer, or similar tools
  • Familiar with Signal Processing, VHDL and PCB’s

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with antenna design techniques for electrically small and/or very broadband antennas Experience with rapid fabrication techniques such as photolithography, additive and subtractive manufacturing
  • Experience with antenna design methodologies in bands from VHF to mm-wave
  • Experience with a mixture of Matlab, Python, Keysight Genesys/ADS, Altium PCB designer, Ansys HFSS, FEKO, CST, Comsol
  • Experience with complete Radar Systems development (research to flight-testing)
  • Experience with rapid fabrication techniques such as photolithography, additive and subtractive manufacturing
  • Experience with mixed signal (wideband analog + high-speed digital) PCB design
