Observable / Conformal Antenna Engineer

This senior position will
have Low-Observable (LO) antenna RF engineering as its area of
specialization.
- LO
antenna RF engineering will include antenna and antenna-related component design and
development along with new-business support.
- This is expected to consist
of antenna requirement evaluation, initial
concept trade-off and development, in-house and customer presentations, travel, and
proposal technical writing and cost/schedule estimating.
- Will be responsible for the
hands-on design and realization of state-of-the-art LO
antennas.
- This will include the
mentoring and guidance of junior-level engineers and technicians in the design, build, and
test phases.
- This person would be able to
apply extensive technical expertise in RF engineering
and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Assignments may be very
diverse or technically difficult.
- Will guide the successful
completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
- Will work without appreciable
direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining the technical objectives of an
assignment.
- Will develop technical
solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and
creativity.
- Will represent the
organization as the prime technical contact on projects.
- BS degree in
Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred, plus 8 or more years experience.
- Requires full competency in
core RF antenna skills.
- Must interface effectively
with people at all levels, meet regularly with customers, provide leadership to internal
groups and teams, and provide guidance to less-experienced employees.
- Must have strong verbal and
written communication skills and will be required to make frequent presentations.
- Must effectively contribute
to effective producibility of designs and to cost, budget, and schedule control.
- Desired skills include
experience with the design of frequency-selective surfaces (FSS) and radomes, the
application of design tools such as MWO, CST, Microstripes and HFSS, and the
application of RCS prediction tools such as X-Patch, FEKO and Method of Moments codes.
- In addition to
the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to
adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and
exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each
higher level degree, Masters, etc., may substitute for two years of experience.
- Related technical
experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Applicants
selected will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility
requirements for access to classified information.

position entails working in a High Tech, State of the art facility in a fast paced,

fascinating atmosphere. Our self contained facility contains spacious
manufacturing,
machining and design space, as well as an anechoic chamber for
in-house
test and measurements..
The select candidate will posses 10+ years of experience in Supervising and Managing of the
Manufacturing end of our Antenna and Controls product
line.
You will wear
multiple hats in this department, and have a variety of tasks to perform, such as:
- Managing the pursuit
of the Antenna products business to include
developing and implementing marketing plans, developing customers, and supervising bid and proposal efforts. In addition, you
will achieve planned awards and
- implement an antenna
strategic plan, including the coordination of antenna control systems efforts with your
team.
- Oversee
the development of a program plan and critical milestones.
- Provide
overall leadership and direction to Program team by setting role and performance
expectations and provide ongoing feedback and performance appraisals
- Meet
company and customer requirements. Drive Timely and clearly communicated decisions and
recommendations
- Ensure
program-wide focus on safety, reliability, cost and schedule
The
Engineering Director must have the ability to manage
multiple people and projects
simultaneously. He/she is required to maintain the mechanical engineering department,
perform reviews and take disciplinary actions when required. The Engineering Director is
responsible for maintaining equipment and establishing maintenance schedules. The
Engineering Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining department procedures
and documentation.
Minimum 10 years in antenna products. Preferably with Earth
Station Antennae
Demonstrate
increasing levels of responsibility.
Proven
skills in Mechanical design and supervision.
Customer
and vendor interface skills are important
Understanding
of Antenna Control systems would be useful, but is not mandatory.
- The
successful candidate will be a key senior member of the division involved with ground
terminals, including business development, proposal generation, systems engineering, and
project engineering.
- Strong
verbal and writing skills
Some
travel is required

Design and Develop phased array
antennas and related microwave circuits for airborne applications.
Perform electromagnetic and RF
analysis of various design concepts using computer modeling tools.
Diagnose malfunctions in
existing products and make improvements or modifications to produce improved results.
Perform technical report
writing, which may include proposals, reports, test procedures and specifications.
Analyze and advise on the
selection and application of subsystem components.
Interface with customer and/or
provide manufacturing support.
Familiarity with specific
antenna related measurement equipment such as network analyzers, anechoic chambers, far
field ranges, etc.
Qualifications: Normally requires a minimum of 5
years experience. Requires microwave device and/or antenna system design experience.
Computer aided design and
analysis experience preferred. Experience with high power radar antennas beneficial.
Minimum Education:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
